Two problems. I just got my turbo'd d16z6 back and am currently breaking it in. I've got an oil leak coming from the rear main seal. This was replaced when the motor was rebuilt. Any thoughts? Also, my profec b is letting my boost spike way past 5psi (tdo4 setting). Even when its turned off it still overboosts. What could be the problem? Everything is installed correctly and the pins on the back of the controller are set right.

Are you using a doo doo delta-gate? If so check the valve inside the wastegate make sure it's opening and closing, as far as the oil? dunno

what's the setting on the profec b? if you adjust the mild and sharp knob you can eliminate spike...well that's what scc said, but from my experience i never had creep to begin, but i'm from FL so heat could help that. anyways for instaneous boost but possible spike set more towards mild, for less chance of spike turn towards sharp

I don't have an external wastegate. It's an internal one from the td04 civic greddy kit. I'll try playing with the knob but shouldn't the wastegate stay at it's original spring setting if the boost controller is turned off? Anyone know what could be causing my oil leak around the rear main seal? It's brand new. Thanks.

If someone has played with your wastegaste adjustment, it may not fully open.

I was just out driving and I have it fixed. It's set all the way sharp and the low boost is at its minimum. It climbs past 5psi to about 6 but at around 4000rpm but then it falls to five and stays steady throughout the rest of the power band. Thanks. Now on to the oil leak.
